Responsibilities:

Peraton is seeking a Summer 2024 Marketing & Business Development Intern to support the growth of our Citizen Security & Public Services sector in Reston, VA.

Some of the activities youll have the opportunity to get involved with include:

  • Support the VP of Growth with proposals and business development processes.
  • Work with teams to gather, edit, and proofread presentation materials for events.
  • Work closely with managers, technical leaders, and administrative staff to help plan, coordinate, and execute on meetings and events.
  • Participate in all planning, pre-event, and post-event meetings.
  • Manage event communications before and after meetings/events and respond to all applicable requests.
  • Coordinate on-site event volunteers and support staff.
  • Maintain an inventory of all event supplies, equipment, materials, and Peraton-branded promo items.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
  • Progress toward a bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications, business development or a related field.
  • Professional presence and comfortable speaking to groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High energy and flexible, with an ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom virtual meetings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Premiere).
  • Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, HubSpot or other database platforms.

  • Reston, VA with flexibility to telework.

Target Salary Range:
The rate / range per hour below represents the typical pay for this position based on experience and other factors.
