OVERVIEW

To perform custodial duties as required by district standards; to maintain the cleanliness and safe conditions of a school environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of custodial equipment, supplies, and proper cleaning procedures Ability to work independently, under pressure and follow directions Ability to perform heavy manual labor as required Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff members Satisfactory work record High School education or GED preferred Ability to communicate effectively

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform custodial duties as required by district standards Perform many diversified tasks each day to maintain the cleanliness and safe condition of the schools Operate custodial power equipment Assist in moving equipment and furniture as required Regular and on-time attendance required Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit

Prior to employment or during the first 3 months of new hire probationary period, drug and alcohol testing shall be required of all new contract employees who work in Operations. Any applicants having a confirmed positive test shall not be eligible for employment.
