Job Title: Academic Instructor

Our organization is seeking a passionate Academic Instructor with a background in literacy and a love for teaching young adults. As an Academic Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to our students and helping them achieve their academic goals.

Responsibilities:

Implement lesson plans that align with our organization's curriculum and educational standards.

Provide engaging and interactive instruction to students in a classroom setting.

Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and Academic Manager and Director.

Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in education as well as a Teaching credential in related field.

Experience teaching young adults in a classroom setting.

Strong background in literacy and reading instruction.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors and staff.

Passion for teaching and helping students achieve their academic goals.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree. Certified to teach in the state in which center is located. (RO may waive if the center is unable to hire a certified teacher, but the candidate must actively pursue certification along an agreed upon timeframe).

Preferred: One year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth.

Knowledge: Knowledge of required subject area, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational skills, must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification, ability to motivate and inspire students, ability to effectively relate to student population.
