Job Title: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS): Per Diem to join their team at their 60-bed psychiatric hospital.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Providing creative and recreational activities to meet the needs of patients
- Utilizing activities to bring positive changes in behavior
- Educating clients in healthy coping skills
- Attending treatment team conferences to exchange information
- Designing relevant interventions
- Providing a safe therapeutic environment
- Helping patients process interventions and emotions
- Assessing patients within two (2) days of admission

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy
- Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS)
- Two (2) years' experience in Recreation/Activities Therapy
- Knowledge of recreational therapy programming
- Effective communication skills
- Physical ability to participate in recreational programs
