Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators
  • Manage diverse teams across different locations
  • Develop career paths for employees and make updates in internal tools
  • Recruit and train data technicians for adequate staffing levels
  • Ensure efficient data center operations including queue management and hardware logistics
  • Act as a subject matter expert in all aspects of data center operations
  • Inspire team improvement in processes, technology, and automation
  • Lead in managing large-scale events/outages
  • Recommend and oversee policies to meet industry best practices and SLAs
  • Maintain on-call schedules and coordinate absences
  • Focus on improving the quality of services provided

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in an IT-related field
  • 2+ years of managing people in a technical environment
  • 2+ years of experience in on-call rotations and 24/7 support environments
  • 2+ years of Networking or Computer hardware experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In-depth knowledge of Linux systems administration
  • Experience in Networking and cabling best practices
  • Knowledge of hardware architectures and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with system management tools and client/server environments
  • Technical writing skills
  • Previous project management experience
