New entrants to teaching receive mentoring and guidance from senior teachers and participate in professional development activities to integrate curriculum, assessment, and pedagogy.

Teachers in range 1 are responsible for teaching classes, participating in policy development, and organizing co-curricular activities.

Responsibilities

The classroom teacher's responsibilities may include:

  • Direct teaching of student groups
  • Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation
  • Undertaking classroom teaching and organizational duties
  • Participating in school activities and meetings
  • Performing non-teaching supervisory tasks
