Job Insights:

Responsible for carrying out laboratory testing activities, ensuring accuracy, precision, and timeliness in reporting results. Involves both routine and complex tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow laboratory procedures for handling specimens, conducting analyses, and reporting results
  • Adhere to quality control policies, maintain records, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact test performance, document corrective actions
  • Report STAT results, maintain testing records, and stay updated on new procedures
  • Participate in safety training, inspections, and follow supervisor's directives
  • Qualifications:

    Education: BS in Medical Technology or related field

    Experience: 1 year in clinical laboratory settings, with high complexity testing preferred

    Other: Ability to handle multiple procedures concurrently, collaborate with other departments, uphold patient confidentiality, and possess good customer service skills

Addtional Job Details:

Located within Maine Coast Hospital, candidates need to comply with specific requirements, such as drug screening, vaccinations, physical/medical checks, color/vision tests, and more.
