About the Role:

Department: MITRE's Cyber Threat Intelligence and Adversary Emulation department

We are looking for a Principal Cyber Threat Intelligence Engineer to join our team and contribute to advancing cyber threat intelligence (CTI). In this role, you will lead projects, collaborate with colleagues across MITRE, and work with government and private sector sponsors to enhance our CTI capabilities. By joining MITRE, you will play a part in solving complex challenges of national and global importance, supporting a safer world.

As a MITRE employee, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects with sponsors from various sectors, including the U.S. government and international entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply expertise in cyber threat intelligence to address challenging problems for our sponsors, such as enhancing defensive cyber operations and securing critical systems.
  • Assist sponsors in integrating cyber threat intelligence into their organizations to improve security and decision-making.
  • Guide sponsors in developing and advancing their cyber threat intelligence capabilities.
  • Conduct research to enhance cyber threat intelligence practices.
  • Utilize MITRE ATT&CK and contribute to the global cybersecurity community's understanding of threat behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Active TS / SCI with poly clearance required.
  • Understanding of adversary tradecraft and cyber operations as a military tool.
  • Experience working with U.S. government cybersecurity agencies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and other structured frameworks.
  • Position entails at least 50% on-site work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing CTI teams and developing strategic products.
  • Knowledge of Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs) and their configuration.
  • Technical expertise in areas like adversary emulation, cyber analytics, and cyber effects.
