Position Description:


A primary function of this and every other job at the "J" is to ensure by whatever rational and legal means necessary that each member, guest and visitor leave the "J" feeling just a little better than when they arrived.


Position Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to theDirector of Building Services, the Maintenance Technician l is responsible for providing maintenance and repair services.

These include, but are not limited to the following:

Repairing broken light switches and outlets

Changing lights

Changing and, or retrofitting lighting ballasts

Changing or cleaning AC filters on a regular basis

Changing belts in AC and Exhaust units

Fixing and, or changing door hardware

Replacing ceiling tiles

Keeping all mechanical rooms clean, and organized

Repair, or replacement of any damaged plumbing

Painting of walls, doors, doorframes, etc.

Pick ups and deliveries of various items

Testing of all pools / Record results

To oversee the Maintenance / Custodian

Performance of any other duties as assigned

Inspect facility on weekends for any repairs

Specific Responsibilities
Open TJCC

Open Sarver Tennis Center

Pool chemical testing

Langlier testing

Pool chemical ordering

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of electricity
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing
  • Basic knowledge of painting
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Pay:
$17.35 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
