ABOUT THE POSITION

Join our dedicated team that offers therapeutic care and case management services to individuals seeking assistance with substance abuse. We collaborate closely with the District Probation and Parole Office to ensure the overall well-being of our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct comprehensive intake interviews, assessments, and tailor treatment plans.
• Provide problem-solving strategies and offer supportive therapy to individuals.
• Facilitate group, individual, and family therapy sessions, including specialized substance abuse group therapy.
• Deliver crisis intervention services, perform risk assessments, and input essential psychological data for treatment placement.
• Engage in collaboration with various agencies, deliver case management services, and maintain vital documentation.
• Create educational/treatment materials and develop customized lesson plans.
• Offer expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Make referrals to inpatient treatment facilities and extend support to individuals post-discharge.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should possess a Master's Degree in the Behavioral Sciences with hands-on clinical experience working with individuals dealing with substance abuse issues. Proficiency in therapeutic techniques, counseling, and awareness of state regulations governing therapeutic services for criminal offenders are crucial. Strong communication abilities, rapport-building skills, and aptness in maintaining detailed records are fundamental in fulfilling this role.

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS

Successful candidates must have a valid VA driver's license and be licensed as LCSW, LPC, or LCP in the state of VA.
