What youwill accomplish as a Senior Buyer at TAPCO:
Ensuring that the highestquality materials, parts, and supplies are purchased at the mosteffective pricing while meeting delivery requirements. This positionwill work with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Receiving tounderstand material requirements for projected sales.

This position willalso have direct contact with suppliers to handle expediting activities,and pricing negotiations, and assist in the development of a world-classsupplier base to support all
TAPCOprocurement initiatives, with focusedeffort on improving on-time deliveries and cost control in a LeanManufacturing environment.

This position reports to the PurchasingManager.

Position Qualifications:
Monitor inventory levels on selectedproduct groups Place purchase orders and manage them effectivelyUnderstand Bills of Material and item usage rates as it relates to EOQand EAUs Work with the Purchasing Manager to improve strategic planning,mitigate risk to the supply chain, reduce costs without sacrificingquality and enhance TAPCO\'s competitive edge Maintain good vendorrelationships and promote our excellent corporate image Communicateorder status internally with professionalism Respond to internalcustomers with the appropriate sense of urgency Quickly resolveproblems, reconcile vendor returns and invoice discrepancies Work aspart of a cohesive team, enjoy making your contributions Quote newproducts by sending RFQs to competitive suppliers as directed Activelyseek out continuous improvement opportunities for the Purchasing Groupas well as for Tapco in a whole, and present these ideas on a regularbasis Complete reports and special projects as assigned RequiredExperience Bachelor\'s degree with a focus on Materials or Supply ChainManagement; related study and/or commensurate job experience may beconsidered Well-rounded knowledge of Purchasing terms and standardpractices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Proficiency usingMRP/ERP software and Demand interpretation is required Excellent timemanagement skills with the ability to multi-task Willingness to learnhow to be even more successful in this role
