The Office of Pharmapreneurship supports all Pharmapreneurship activities for students, staff, and faculty within the School.

The Program Specialist will interface with individuals at all levels and will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, professional relationships, and confidential information.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Assist in the management of all programmatic and administrative activities within the Office of Pharmapreneurship including the Pharmapreneurs' Farm space.
  • Contribute to multiple projects on behalf of the Endowed Chair for the Office of Pharmapreneurship. Work with preaward and development staff to identify potential funding sources for specifically identified projects.
  • Develop and schedule program work plan in accordance with specifications and funding limitations in order to shape the program. Oversee daily operations, organized program activities, and set priorities.
  • Prepare and maintain reports for management. Adhere to timelines and due dates.
  • Attend school and campus meetings, i.e., Advisory Board Meetings.
  • Develop and maintain the Office of Pharmapreneurship website, files, and listings.
  • Support and assist faculty, staff, and students on Pharmaprenreurship activities and proposals.
  • Document and maintain a catalog of all activities, ventures, successes, and accomplishments in an ideal database format.
  • Assist in evaluating program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devise evaluation methodology and implements; analyze results and recommend and/or take appropriate action. Has the authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement policies or procedures to ensure effective operation of the program.
  • Assist with managing marketing campaign with external marketing firm.
  • Develop and facilitate workshops, meetings or conferences, coordinate logistics, scheduling, calendar of activities, and participant communications.
  • Coordinate and support major schoolwide and Pharmapreneurship events including but not limited to staff appreciation, holiday party, retreats, and board of visitors.
  • Source and manage vendors such as caterers, decorators, and speakers. Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Track expenses, negotiate pricing with vendors, and seek costeffective solutions without compromising event quality.
  • Coordinate event logistics including equipment rentals, and attendee registration. Develop and distribute event timeliness and schedules to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event setup, execution, and breakdown. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and attendees during events. Address any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other administrative duties that a significant impact on the overall goals of the program and Dean's Office.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years administrative or program coordination experience.
