The Fitness team of the Provo City Recreation division is looking for energetic individuals to fill the role of Fitness Instructor. As a Fitness Instructor, you will conduct unique and motivating workout classes in various formats and ensure the safety of patrons. Apart from a competitive pay rate starting at $15.00 per hour, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to retirement savings plans and enjoy exclusive benefits including free admission to recreational facilities, discounts, and more.


  • Essential Duties:
    • Conduct quality workout classes that motivate patrons.
    • Assist recreation staff and perform related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Sufficient knowledge of the format you will be teaching.
  • Current fitness and CPR certifications.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
  • Preference for applicants with previous fitness instructing experience.

Hours: Flexible part-time hours based on department needs.


Physical/Environmental Factors: Involves bending, stooping, and occasionally lifting objects.


Pre-employment Testing: Drug screen and criminal background check required.


Full Time/Part Time: Part-time
