About the Position:

The Dog Groomer plays a crucial role at Scenthound, offering grooming expertise and services to clients.

This Dog Groomer role necessitates:
  • Minimum of one year of grooming experience or completion of grooming school
  • Familiarity with dog breeds, care standards, and grooming tools
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation
  • Readiness to work in a smoke-free setting
  • A genuine affection for pups, naturally

We seek a confident dog groomer with a passion for grooming. A successful Dog Groomer is informed, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a caring dog enthusiast. We are on the lookout for a driven groomer to join our team.

Tasks
  • Execute grooming to Scenthound standards
  • Perform puppy cuts exclusively; one uniform length overall with a tidy face
  • Foster a learning-friendly environment, open communication, and teamwork
  • Recognize when and where assistance is required and offer support to keep operations on track
  • Ensure the well-being of dogs and team members at all times
  • Follow Scenthound's hygienic and cleaning protocols
  • Undertake other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Scenter Manager
Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective communication with team members and dog owners
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to self-assess and hold oneself and others to high grooming standards
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
