Overview of the Job
This job opportunity is for an NP Intensivist Medicine position, which requires a licensed, certified, non-physician healthcare provider to deliver direct patient care, with delegated prescriptive authority. The role involves managing patient care in an intensivist and critical care setting, including patient rounding, procedures, and hospital admissions and discharges.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical and mental condition through comprehensive examinations and medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and recommend therapeutic treatments.
- Develop patient treatment plans based on assessments, evidence-based medicine, and professional guidelines.
- Provide counseling to patients and families on medical processes, medication, and health promotion.
- Maintain detailed patient records and initiate referrals when necessary.
- Perform invasive procedures within scope of practice and assist with hospital rounds and admissions.
- Be available for additional patient care duties as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in developing patient treatment plans and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Current license and certifications required for the role.
Position Details:
- Day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, 7 days on and 7 days off.
- No weekend calls for 7-day shifts.
- Expected procedures include intubation, CVL, chest tubes, thoracentesis, and arterial line placement.

Candidate Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited program.
