This Senior Manager role offers a great opportunity to excel at the intersection of advertising technology, media across different platforms, and data science. As a Senior Manager, your main focus will be to collaborate closely with various teams such as product, ad sales, research, and industry vendors to lead measurement innovation across Client portfolios.
Key Activities:
- Supervise the strategic research and assessment of third-party measurement (3PM) currency providers, overseeing the analysis of measurement data to refine transaction models at a strategic level.
- Lead detailed data investigations, utilizing a mix of 3PM data from different sources. This includes advanced log-level analysis using the Client's first-party data and third-party data from the Audience Insights Hub to guide decision-making and strategy.
- Build strong partnerships with product, IT, and client strategy teams to shape and improve the Client's advertising offerings, developing innovative sales strategies for long-term growth and leadership in the market.
- Utilize advanced research tools like Nielsen, Kantar, iSpot, and VideoAmp for deep media consumption analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and evaluation of advertising campaign performance. Present key research findings to senior executives to influence decision-making at top levels.
- Advocate for new business models, explore alternative currencies, and set the foundation for a unified media currency bridging digital and linear platforms, positioning Client as an industry innovator.
- Lead, motivate, and support the professional growth of your team, offering mentorship and career development opportunities. Play a key role in managing test and learn projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Client's Measurement & Impact teams on high-level projects and learning initiatives, driving strategic objectives forward through insightful analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Advanced degree (master's or higher) from a reputable institution in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing Analytics, or related field. A PhD in a relevant field is a plus.
- Minimum of four plus years of progressive experience in data analytics, media research, or data science, with a preference for leadership roles in ad tech companies, digital entertainment industries, advertising agencies, media research providers, or data analytics firms.
- Expertise in AWS, SQL (advanced level), Spark, R, or Python, with in-depth knowledge of relational databases, big data retrieval methods, and the ability to apply these skills strategically.
- Deep understanding of broadcast/cable, Connected TV/OTT, and digital media landscapes, with the ability to predict trends and apply knowledge to strategic decisions.
- Advanced statistical analysis skills, with a strong grasp of statistical concepts essential for high-level data interpretation and decision-making.
- Extensive experience in the ad-tech measurement space, including proficiency in data management platforms and cloud databases (GCP, Snowflake, etc.), focusing on strategic application and innovation.
- Advanced knowledge of machine learning techniques and their strategic use in the media industry, leveraging these tools for significant business outcomes.
- Deep understanding of cross-platform measurement methodologies across digital, linear, and streaming platforms, including CTV/OTT and addressable TV, demonstrating the ability to integrate diverse data sources for insights.
- Expertise in advanced analytics methodologies like Multi-Touch Attribution and Media Mix Modeling, applying these approaches to optimize media spend and impact.
- Adaptability in ambiguous situations, thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Skilled in aligning stakeholders towards common goals.
- Proficiency in data processing and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, translating complex data into actionable insights for top-level decision-making.
