The Technology Strategist will lead all efforts related to technology adoption for the organization to ensure maximum value. This role will ensure that all initiatives align with the company's goal of maintaining and improving a secure and efficient IT infrastructure. The Technology Strategist will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all IT-related activities for the company. The Technology Strategist will engage senior leadership and collaborate across the organization to ensure business needs are defined and met. The Technology Strategist will be responsible for all IT policies and procedures, including resource allocation, budget, financial requirements, and vendor management.

Responsibilities
  • Define the IT strategy and execute all IT operations for the company.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain the company's computer network and IT infrastructure.
  • Develop IT strategies to prevent downtime and loss of data to decrease maintenance costs and overall risk.
  • Install and update company software and hardware, as needed.
  • Routinely evaluate network and data security; Implement and manage a comprehensive Cybersecurity program and data backup measures.
  • Provide technical support and IT training to team members in the company; troubleshoot computer and phone problems, as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts for support, service agreements, and renewals.
  • Participate in professional organizations and industry meetings, as needed.
  • Review current technology solutions and make recommendations, appropriately.
  • Own and manage the department budget; review monthly expenses and revenue; manage monthly billing of new projects and updates for Accounts Payable Department.
  • Provide expert analysis of the project schedule, as required, for the defense or pursuit of claims in legal action.
  • Maintain schedule records (standard lead times, production rates, standard sequence of installations, etc.).
  • Drive continuous improvement to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Perform extra duties and support company events, as required.
Basic requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems; in lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Industry Certifications in software, systems, and network or project management disciplines preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise technologies (network, storage, security, identity management, cloud services, etc.) Project management, business analysis, conflict resolution, and other resource management skills.
  • Effective communication skills; must be able to coordinate activity across all levels of the organization, vertically and horizontally.
  • Ability to critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, deconstruct high‐level information into details and abstract low‐level information to a more general understanding.
  • Ability to distinguish user requests from the underlying business needs and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 with experience in applying solutions to business needs.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution with understanding of internal and external impacts.
  • Understands how to analyze key performance indicators.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures.
  • Experience in formulating policy and developing and implementing competitive strategies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop financial plans, analyze and interpret financial data, and manage resources, accordingly.
  • Has a critical eye for continuous process improvement.
  • Analytical skill set and critical thinking skills; can manage through ambiguity.
  • Strong character, integrity, and leadership skills.

  • Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs
  • Passenger use of construction personnel hoists
  • Ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction

  • Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk, and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
