Position: Residential Counselor - Part-Time 3rd Shift

Location: Chicopee, MA

*Proficiency in Multiple Languages is Preferred

Job Overview:

As a member of the DDS/DMH/ABI Program team, the Residential Counselor plays a vital role in fostering communication, support, and accountability among colleagues and individuals in the program. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Residential Counselor upholds the program's philosophy and demonstrates a strong commitment.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in clinical and staff meetings to collaborate on treatment plans and goals
  • Maintain accurate client records and attend supervisory meetings
  • Document consumer progress and advocate for their rights
  • Assist individuals in daily living activities and promote their independence
  • Ensure safety and provide support during emergencies
  • Build trusting relationships with program participants
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; higher education in human services preferred
  • Experience working with psychiatric clients is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Access to a vehicle for transportation
