Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 School Nurse to join our team for the upcoming school year. As a 1:1 School Nurse, you will be responsible for providing healthcare services to a specific student, ensuring their safety and well-being during school hours. This position requires riding the school bus with the student to and from school.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care and assistance to the assigned student during school hours.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor the student's health condition and respond to medical emergencies promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, school staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation of health services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license in Maryland.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Experience working as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
