Position Overview:
- Reports directly to the Captain
- Responsible for maintaining vessel's state of readiness and assisting families during voyages and sea scattering services
Responsibilities:
- Safety: Ensuring passenger safety on the vessel and acting as a First Responder during marine casualties
- Guest Services: Coordinating events, assisting guests with mobility needs, and providing a warm presence onboard
- Vessel Readiness: Stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, completing paperwork, and more
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma (College courses preferred)
- Experience: Previous experience in vessel operations & maintenance
- Certification/License: CPR certification preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic seamanship, excellent interpersonal skills
Work Environment:
- Working both dockside and underway in outdoor settings
- Exposure to changing weather and sea conditions
- Professional, inclusive, and respectful work environment
Physical Demands:
- Physical effort and manual dexterity required
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds
- Various tasks including washing, scrubbing, painting, etc.
Work Hours:
Naiad operates Wednesday - Sunday with the possibility of extended hours. We offer competitive pay ranging from $15 to $18 per hour.
