Job Purpose

Operating a CNC machine in a production shop setting working with steel materials for fabricating railroad tracks and crossings.

This role requires weekend shifts and offers a premium for weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

- Operating CNC machines to fabricate parts and rail in compliance with specifications for manufacturing railway track and turnout assemblies;

- Utilizing measuring tools to ensure precision and marking all rail accordingly;

- Handling overhead cranes.

Requirements and Experience

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist/CNC machine operator;

- Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision;

- Proficient in clear writing, legible documentation, and accurate production reporting;

- Meticulous attention to detail, capable of inspecting rail using measuring instruments;

- Strong dedication to quality and teamwork;

- Thorough knowledge of workplace safety practices;

- Compliance with post-offer drug testing, medical assessments, and background checks for misdemeanor and/or felony records.
