Lockheed Martin is currently looking for a Strategic Operations Research Analyst to be part of a vibrant team. The chosen candidate will utilize systematic, scientifically-based approaches, problem-solving techniques, simulations, and critical thinking to enhance decision-making processes.

The role involves collaborating with team members, program managers, and engineers from different backgrounds. As a member of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Operations Analysis team, the candidate will lead the analysis of fixed wing weapons and sensors, contributing to requirements definition, evaluation of concept of operations (CONOPS), and studies on operational effectiveness to shape future warfighter capabilities.

These studies help determine the impact of payloads, weapons, and strategies on mission effectiveness and survivability.



Responsibilities will include:
  • Leading Operations Analysis (OA) for Air Dominance fixed wing weapons and sensors
  • Developing Design of Experiments (DOE) and quantifying Measures-of-Effectiveness (MOEs)
  • Creating analysis and study plans based on critical questions and problem statements
  • Utilizing engineering-based techniques, problem-solving approaches, and critical thinking
  • Performing Simulation, Modeling, and Analysis (MS&A) of military systems and scenarios in digital environments
  • Examining simulation outcomes using data metrics to derive important insights
  • Conducting trade studies and statistical analyses
  • Presenting analysis with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Contributing to research efforts and sharing analytical techniques and methodologies
  • Applying resolution analysis methods to assess current and future programs
Basic Qualifications:
  • Active DoD secret clearance with an investigation or Continuous Vetting (CV) date within 5 years
  • Experience in leading teams or conducting statistical analyses to achieve significant results
  • Proficiency in scripting and data processing (AFSIM, MATLAB, Python, ARISE, Splinter, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field from an accredited institution
  • Candidates must be eligible to acquire and maintain a top-secret clearance post-employment. This role also necessitates an enhanced security review per government contract mandates.
Desired Skills:
  • Current DoD Top Secret clearance with an investigation or Continuous Vetting (CV) date within 5 years
  • Experience with Lockheed Martin portfolios of fixed wing weapons and sensors
  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Integrated-Flight-Simulation (IFS)
  • Knowledge of air-to-air radar electronic warfare, infrared technology, communication, and weapons systems
  • Understanding of MFC strategy and new business initiatives
  • Advanced degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution
  • Experience in developing Design of Experiments (DOE)
Security Clearance Statement:

This position mandates a government security clearance, requiring applicants to be US Citizens for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Remote Telework: The chosen employee will have a partial remote work schedule and part of their work hours at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin offers various work schedules including condensed options that provide additional flexibility. These schedules allow more time away from the office in addition to Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
