As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you'll be assisting patients with medical conditions related to the heart, lungs, and blood vessels. Your responsibilities include interviewing and examining patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary ailments. In times of emergencies such as heart attacks, drowning, or shock, you will provide immediate care to stabilize the patients' conditions.
