Responsible for overseeing Revenue Cycle Clinical Support Staff at The Ohio State University Health System. Leading multidisciplinary teams to secure pre-authorizations, prevent clinical denials, and interpret medical necessity guidelines. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for payer requirements and audits.
Manages staff to understand various aspects such as Managed Care, Financial Counseling, Clinical workflows, and more to ensure proper authorization and prevent denials. Develops policies, workflows, and serves as a resource on regulatory interpretation.
Scope of PositionRevenue Cycle Clinical Support Office plays a crucial role in Clinical Pre-Certification, Case Reviews, billing processes, and denial management to support cash collection.
Minimum Qualifications for Hiring- Bachelor's degree in nursing with a current license.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical care experience.
- Experience in collaborating with physicians.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make educated decisions.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical operations and patient flow.
- Proficiency in various software and technologies.
