Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Driver - Van/Automobile for The Northern Nevada International Center. ***This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position will transport grant participants, refugee clients, local and international visitors to local and regional appointments, site visits, home host visits, and other meetings in NNIC fleet vehicles. The driver is serving in an ambassadorial capacity and will communicate and coordinate with U.S. Department liaisons in the daily management of NNIC International Exchange Programs. This position will also report any vehicle issues or safety concerns, fuel vehicles, clean and sanitize interior/exteriors as needed, and maintain driver logs. This position will also assist with moving furniture donations, unloading furniture and other items, picking up/dropping off donation items and storage unit maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Two years of motor vehicle driving experience.

Schedule

Compensation Grade

Grade 22 (Step 01, $16.36/hr - Step 03, $17.73/hr)

In classified service, salary is in Grade and Step. The Step is determined based on the Nevada Administrative Code. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's qualifications, internal equity and budgets. A request to accelerate salary must be approved by Human Resources and abide by the Nevada Administrative Code.
