Main Responsibilities:
- Perform necessary procedures with proper techniques and positioning, consistently demonstrating good judgment in evaluating diagnostic studies.
- Screen patients before exams to identify any contraindications or precautionary measures related to the procedure.
- Obtain and review examination requisitions, including doctor's orders, patient history, and any specific requirements.
- Explain procedures thoroughly to patients, address their inquiries, and help ease any anxiety to ensure cooperation.
- Monitor patient conditions within the department and assist radiologists in providing necessary medical attention.
- Adhere to company policies, hospital procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Maintain diagnostic equipment by cleaning, disinfecting, and handling it carefully, ensuring the work area is organized.
- Prepare examinations for interpretation by radiologists, ensuring proper identification and processing of films, clinical history, and past exams for comparison.
- Support radiologists during contrast media administration, following aseptic techniques and promptly managing allergic reactions.
- Follow standard precautions and infection control policies at all times.
- Aid in patient scheduling and preparation before examinations, striving to deliver high-quality service to each patient.
- Conduct examinations tailored to the patient's age, condition, and specific needs.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, undertaking additional projects as required.
