Job Description

KBS Constructors, Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter with a strong work ethic and positive mindset. As a Commercial Carpenter at our company, you will engage in various carpentry tasks across different settings, such as wall layout, framing, sheet rocking, drywall finishing, rough carpentry, and concrete work. Additionally, your responsibilities will include installing acoustical ceilings, bathroom partitions, doors and hardware, as well as casework and trims.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned tasks according to provided plans and specifications.
  • Engage in various carpentry activities including wall layout, framing, sheet rocking, drywall finishing, rough carpentry, and concrete work.
  • Install acoustical ceilings, bathroom partitions, doors and hardware, and casework and trims.
  • Provide on-the-job training to company apprentices.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and production standards.
  • Maintain a positive crew attitude and enforce safety policies.
  • Keep the jobsite clean and hazard-free.
  • Communicate material needs to the superintendent.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Skills:

  • Proven carpentry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with carpentry materials.
  • Thorough understanding of carpentry techniques and installation methods.
  • Proficiency in using electrical and manual tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Good command of English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina.
  • Strong work ethic and task follow-through.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of carpentry experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
