Responsibilities:

  • Conduct land surveys and measurements to determine property boundaries.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other relevant software to prepare detailed survey maps and reports.
  • Collect and process LIDAR data and ensure accurate and efficient completion of surveying projects.
  • Perform quality control checks on survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review survey plans, proposals, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Assist in the creation of digital elevation models (DEMs) using LIDAR data.
  • Maintain and update database systems with surveying data.
  • Ensure compliance with all surveying standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in land surveying and MTSI (Materials Testing and Special Inspection).
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in LIDAR data collection equipment and software.
  • Familiarity with MTSI terminology and procedures, including concrete, soil, and seal.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and email communication effectively.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and other relevant surveying software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Certification in LIDAR surveying is a plus.
  • Previous experience in proposal and schedule preparation is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with remote sensing and photogrammetry techniques.
  • Knowledge of construction and engineering principles.
  • Ability to provide support in post-processing data to generate point clouds and other relevant outputs.
