Position Title: Associate Director of Development - Fundraising

Overview:

The Associate Director of Development role at The Walker School is pivotal in advancing the school's mission through strategic fundraising initiatives. This position involves managing all aspects of the annual fund and Georgia GOAL program, focusing on donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of successful fundraising within non-profit, philanthropic, or educational sectors, excelling in building enduring relationships with donors to elevate their involvement and contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising:
    • Identify, cultivate, and solicit new and existing donors to secure gifts and reach annual fund targets.
    • Assist in planning and executing the Annual Campaign strategy.
    • Lead the fundraising endeavors for the Georgia GOAL scholarship program.
    • Organize fundraising events to surpass financial objectives.
  • Donor Management:
    • Nurture strong relationships with current and prospective donors.
    • Enhance donor engagement and satisfaction through strategic initiatives.
    • Arrange donor appreciation events to boost retention and giving levels.
    • Coordinate various aspects of the Annual Campaign plan.
  • Event Management:
    • Supervise major donor events and donor appreciation activities.
    • Plan and execute strategic donor engagement events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising in non-profit, philanthropic, or educational environments.
  • Experience in major gift solicitation and stewardship.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and event management capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting and manage multiple priorities.
