Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Maintain furnace life through regular inspections, repairs, and proper operational control.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor batch, furnace, and forehearth equipment conditions. Conduct necessary repairs to achieve performance goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage melting temperature profiles for high-quality glass and efficient fiber forming.
  • Technology Exchange: Collaborate with teams to promote technology exchange with external partners.
  • Batch Formulas: Record and input batch formulas for consistent production.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Ceramic, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in furnace and manufacturing processes
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma methodology, and Wonderware/Noltec systems
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
