About the Job

A Manufacturing Technician III at Biogen is responsible for delivering customer-oriented service and support in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role includes performing maintenance on various manufacturing equipment such as Washers, Autoclaves, Centrifuge, Bioreactors, Tanks, and pumps at the BioSite location, requiring a comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and liaise with external vendors for solutions
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures diligently
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Independently handle routine tasks with minimal supervision and follow detailed instructions for new assignments
  • Utilize the CMMS system for work orders and coordinate workload with planners
  • Undertake small projects as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related manufacturing field. OR
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in maintaining and repairing pharmaceutical and biotech equipment
  • Physical capabilities include climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, moving heavy equipment up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods
  • Preferred knowledge and use of hand and power tools for assignments
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures

Preferred

  • Knowledge and utilization of hand and power tools preferred?
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems
  • Understanding of Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures for energized systems
