Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Company: Imaging Specialists


Radiology technologists play a critical role in ensuring that a patient's diagnostic X-rays are conducted accurately and effectively. They work closely with physicians to prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and ensure proper patient positioning for precise radiography.



Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicates examination details in easy-to-understand language to alleviate patient anxiety.
  • Performs various x-ray procedures following established standards and division protocols.
  • Positions patients correctly for radiography based on departmental standard procedures.
  • Recognizes and promptly reports any patient issues or abnormalities to the Radiologist.
  • Operates equipment to transfer computed images accurately.
  • Ensures proper labeling of images with date and patient identification.
  • Enters patient history and relevant information into records.
  • Assists in immobilization and support device setup for patients.
  • Performs additional duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Licensure as a technologist in the respective state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination as per regulations.
