DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at CSVRMC Holistic Health & Wellness as a Medical Massage Therapist committed to delivering ethical and evidence-based massage therapy services. This role involves developing and promoting wellness opportunities for patients and employees, collaborating with various departments, and participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a Nationally Certified Massage Program with a minimum of 850 hours of hands-on training.
- LICENSES: Licensed as a Massage Therapist in the State of New Mexico.
- SKILLS: Proficient in various Massage Techniques such as Medical, Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, neuromuscular, and reflexology. Specialized training in oncology massage is a plus. Strong communication and physical assessment skills are necessary along with the ability to work effectively in a medical team.
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of full-time massage experience required, preferably with clinical experience in medical massage.
SUPERVISION:
- Reports to: Director of Integrative Medicine
ENVIRONMENT:
- Requires compliance with safety standards related to massage therapy and communicable diseases.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and walk for extended periods. Capability for heavy lifting and good manual dexterity for providing massage therapy.
