Job Description:
- Ensures a hygienic and secure environment for the well-being of visitors, patients, and staff at MMH facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Cleans patient rooms using specialized products to maintain cleanliness and disinfection following specific procedures.
- Disinfects unoccupied patient rooms thoroughly, including beds, medical equipment, and high-touch surfaces.
- Maintains cleanliness in restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and other non-patient areas.
- Performs floor mopping, wall spot cleaning, and trash disposal tasks.
- Follows safety protocols and guidelines when performing cleaning tasks.
- Reports maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly.
- Cleans windows, furniture, stairwells, and other designated areas.
- Ensures proper handling and disposal of biohazard waste.
- Completes room checks post-cleaning and assists with germicidal procedures for isolation rooms.
- Adheres to cleaning schedules and checklists accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrates effective equipment maintenance and storage practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in operating office equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly involves walking, standing, bending, lifting, and manual tasks.
- Occasional lifting of weights up to 25 lbs; up to 50 lbs on rare occasions.
