Overview

The Bartender's main responsibility is to prepare the bar area, mix drinks for guests and servers, and ensure the bar is clean and well-stocked to provide top-notch service and keep track of liquor inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude consistently.
  • Assist guests, managers, and colleagues with attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism.
  • Arrange the bar as per hotel standards for efficient service.
  • Follow the hotel's drink recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Serve beverages in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Close down the bar after events according to hotel procedures.
  • Adhere to state liquor regulations.
  • Be knowledgeable about hotel amenities and services.
  • Follow all hotel policies and safety guidelines.
  • Serve alcohol responsibly and handle guest issues effectively.
  • Know fire safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the bar and service areas during operations.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in the hotel industry is a plus.
  • Openness to work flexible hours when needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Handle guest and employee interactions with attentiveness and courtesy.
  • Participate in mandatory hotel meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to grooming standards and hotel regulations.
  • Efficiently solve problems and improve processes.
  • Cross-train in different hotel departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Show proactiveness in anticipating guest needs and operational challenges.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
