The role of a Lead SAP Functional Analyst is vital in managing the logistics of moving physical goods through the SAP Transportation Management System (TMS). This dynamic position involves overseeing the architecture and design related to SAP TMS configuration and system design, necessitating a combination of technical architecture, analytical, and leadership skills. In addition to interacting with internal stakeholders, this role requires the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.

Position: Direct Hire with client

Schedule: Hybrid. In the office Monday - Thursday, remote on Friday

Salary: $140,000

Duties:

  • Responsible for the overall technical architecture and design, for SAP S/4 HANA TMS
  • Accountable for software delivery, continuous improvement practices, and principles
  • Document major processes and development milestones
  • Stay up to date with technology trends and industry best practices
  • Develop & support enterprise architecture strategies
  • Analyze business and user needs and follow through the full development life cycle
  • Modify, maintain, and update TMS configuration and program routines
  • Educate others in business processes and reporting metrics enabled by TMS modules
  • Define, test, train, implement, and support functional areas within the TMS System
  • Monitor developers, manage project plan, scope, risk, and resources
  • Act as team leader for project teams
  • Manage work relations with partners and ensure solutions align with the IT long-term strategy

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in EWM solutions
  • 5+ years of SAP S/4 HANA TMS and Functional experience in SAP Transportation Management
  • Experience in end-to-end implementations on S/4 HANA
  • Travel periodically to visit Distribution centers and collaborate with teams
  • Knowledgeable in SAP TM Master Data and experienced in OTR & DTR processes
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP TM Charge Management and integration with other areas
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills required

Preferred:

  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) knowledge

Nice to have:

  • SAP LBN hands-on experience especially Dock Appointment Scheduling
  • Knowledge on ABAP Development and experience integrating TMS with Maxload
  • Experience with tools like Azure Dev Ops, MS Project, and Agile methodology is preferred
