JOB SUMMARY

This opportunity is within the Public Transportation and Parking Department in Oklahoma City. Here, you will step in as the Chief Financial Officer overseeing the financial management of the City's public transportation and parking systems under EMBARK, a key unit of Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Administration, you will be in charge of financial planning and management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, guiding budget preparation, conducting financial analysis, and providing financial consulting services. Your role involves managing various financial aspects, including overseeing collective bargaining costs, promoting customer service, and handling financial enterprise systems and grants.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience in finance theory, GAAP, and GASB accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, public transportation funding laws, and governmental accounting.
  • Experience in financial statements, budget preparation, financial forecasting, and team management.
  • Ability to travel.

DEPARTMENT PREFERENCES

  • Certified Public Accountant licensure.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in finance or accounting, with 7 years in relevant fields.
  • Supervisory experience in finance or accounting.
