Your role will involve investigating problems, maintaining equipment, preparing reagents, instructing new employees, and ensuring accurate data entry and test result interpretation. Here are the key responsibilities of the role:

  • Performs various laboratory diagnostic tests on patient specimens.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of technical procedures and principles.
  • Prepares specimens for testing and processes them according to department protocol.
  • Recognizes abnormal results and follows up appropriately.
  • Completes testing within specified time frames.
  • Records and reports results accurately.
  • Assists with morgue duties when necessary.

2. Demonstrates expertise in operating departmental instrumentation.

· Accurately performs quality control and calibration on all testing procedures.

· Records instrument maintenance and quality control results.

· Notifies supervisors of any issues promptly.
