The role of the Risk Control Representative involves carrying out risk control surveys, offering consultative services, and providing technical support for agents, underwriters, and insured individuals. This role is remote and field-based, catering to the greater Southern and Southwest Wisconsin region.About the Role
  • Conduct thorough risk control surveys at insured locations to identify potential hazards and risk factors for underwriting and risk assessment.
  • Generate detailed technical reports that offer a clear risk assessment and provide well-defined recommendations.
  • Collaborate with insured individuals to develop hazard control strategies aimed at minimizing or preventing losses, influencing recommendations accordingly.
  • Deliver technical guidance and support to underwriting colleagues, insured parties, and other clients for analysis purposes, ensuring top-notch customer service. Address specific assistance requests promptly.
  • Analyze loss patterns, identify opportunities to offer risk control services or products that can help reduce losses, and explain how recommended strategies or value-added programs can mitigate risks.
  • Organize and plan risk control assessments with insured individuals, leveraging internal and external resources to complete evaluations effectively.

What it Will Take
  • Bachelor's Degree in risk management, safety/health, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or co-op exposure in risk/loss control, risk management, occupational safety, fire protection, or related domains – OR – a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
