Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers, conducting regular inspections to ensure Federal FHWA compliance
  • Operate yard hostler truck for efficient trailer movement within the facility
  • Manage ordering and receiving of necessary parts and supplies
  • Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines, including hazardous waste handling
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance equipment longevity and workplace safety
  • Utilize welding equipment and perform additional assigned tasks

Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in diesel engines, air and electrical systems, as well as hydraulic systems
  • 1 year of hands-on experience in tractor and trailer maintenance, knowledgeable about DOT rules, company policies, and procedures

Education and Background:

  • No formal education requirement (High school diploma, G.E.D. completion, or equivalent vocational training preferred)

Wage Range: $22 - $27 per hour
