Shift Schedule:

  • Flexible work days from Sunday to Friday (may change based on business needs).
  • Travel as an Over the Road (OTR) regional driver within 900 miles of Jackson, MI

Job Overview:

As a Driver at Dawn Foods, your main responsibility will be to complete your daily route promptly, focusing on safety and efficiency. This includes adhering to all road regulations, interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner, and handling tasks such as loading/unloading products and vehicle inspections.

Requirements for CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods:

  • Valid Class "A" CDL License
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Minimum 6 months of Class A Commercial driving experience
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Familiarity with operating MHE equipment
  • Preferred experience in delivering to food service accounts
  • Helpful skills include operating lift-gate, reefer, electric pallet jack, and forklift, as well as basic computer skills

Responsibilities of a CDL Class A Driver at Dawn Foods:

  • Adhere to all road regulations and DOT procedures
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Perform various tasks like loading/unloading products and conducting vehicle inspections

Physical Demands & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Utilize motor coordination and physical strength to handle objects weighing over 50 pounds frequently
  • Possess specific vision abilities for the job
  • Must be comfortable with outdoor work environment and driving
  • Exposure to varying work conditions like dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes
