Shipping Clerk

**Currently seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk with previous customer service experience in the distribution and logistics industry**
**Shift/Schedule:** 2nd
+ 12:00pm-8:00pm
+ Monday-Friday
**Pay:** $20.00/hr
**Description:**
+ Responds to e-mail requests from carries, costumers, and companies with confirmation of pickup dates and times for product
+ Response to pick up date and time inquiries are to be made same day or next day if received after normal scheduled hours of work.
+ Maintain and update daily accounts of all orders confirmed for shipment on the shipping calendar and email the appropriate distribution by the end of each day.
+ Working knowledge of WMS (Warehouse management system)
+ Shipping orders once printed are to be proof read against the pick tickets for accuracy of content prior to issuing to operations
+ Shipping orders/packs are to be printed 1 day in advance of actual ship day
+ Close all shipping orders in WMS each morning that were shipped previous day
+ Maintains accurate filing of all shipped Documents
+ Fill out the driver sign appropriate log each morning
+ Greet drivers and cross reference proper pick up and shipping number
+ Maintains and sends the missed carrier appointment report to appropriate distribution each Monday for previous weeks Shipments
+ Maintains accurate filing of all driver sign in appointment logs
+ Communicates with the warehouse Supervisor and or Lead about any delays or reschedules for pickup same day
**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**
+ Previous experience speaking with customers, vendors, and responding to customer emails and inquiries.
+ Previous experience with data entry and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping systems
+ Previous experience and working knowledge of shipping and receiving and distribution and logistics.
