  • High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory. Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Basic mechanical knowledge needed and electrical skills preferable
  • Ability to comprehend safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to execute work orders and input necessary paperwork into a computer
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and conversions
  • Proven interpersonal skills for professional communication with colleagues and supervisors
  • Capable of lifting up to ninety (90) lbs

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by carrying out preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and production machines; diagnose malfunctions
  • Set up and dismantle equipment; may support major repairs, construction, fabrication, and installation of new plant equipment
  • Identify sources of issues by observing mechanical devices in action, listening for anomalies, and utilizing precision measuring and testing tools
  • Disassemble components to eliminate defective parts using hoists and various tools
  • Assist in minimizing downtime by educating production workers on regular preventive maintenance techniques; supervise compliance
  • Utilize SAP for documentation and interaction with operations
  • Work safely and efficiently while upholding a secure and organized work environment
  • Engage in and successfully finish management-assigned training aimed at enhancing job-related skills
  • Usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is compulsory, including items like bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber boots
  • Conduct yourself in alignment with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other conduct standards
