Job Description

As a Manufacturing Buyer, your responsibility is to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services required for the production process. You will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers, and collaborating with various departments to support seamless production operations.

Experience:

• Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions materials, supplies, and equipment
• Works with the production and quality department to ensure product conformity and demand management
• Resolves grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Maintains, improves, and/or implements purchasing and recordkeeping systems
• Sources and partners with reliable vendors/suppliers within the larger NJ, PA, and DE area
• Collaborates with the central purchasing department in Germany
• Other related duties as assigned

Candidate Profile:

• 3-5 years in a purchasing role within the manufacturing industry OR in an operations role with equipment manufacturing
• Solid computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
