Duties: The assigned duties will align with skill levels. In this role, work involves survey crew participation in boundary, control, hydrographic, topographic, and construction surveys across diverse projects covering flood control, environmental protection, water conveyance facilities, species conservation, and recreation. Tasks span California's varied terrains, including water bodies and challenging landscapes, often away from main premises. While reporting to a site supervisor, autonomy may be granted. Regular interaction with the public is a key aspect.

Special Requirements

Candidates are mandated to possess a valid California Driver License, be ready for statewide travel spanning a week, and capable of carrying 50 lbs. across steep and uneven terrains. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a Transportation Surveyor (Caltrans) is essential. Documentation substantiating these qualifications must be provided prior to appointment consideration.

For Range D roles, possession of a valid California Land Surveyors License issued by the California Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors is obligatory.
