Position Overview: We're currently in search of a caring and committed School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This role entails working in a school setting, providing valuable assistance to Occupational Therapists and delivering crucial services to students with varied needs. Whether you have experience as a COTA or are a recent graduate, we encourage you to apply and become a part of our supportive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in carrying out assessments and evaluations of students' functional abilities and needs.
  • Support in creating and executing personalized treatment plans and objectives.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Collaborate with school personnel and parents to enhance students' progress and functional skills.
  • Maintain precise documentation of student development and therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance or a related field.
  • Current state certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or eligibility for certification.
  • Previous experience in a school-based environment is advantageous but not obligatory.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work efficiently within a team and adhere to guidance from supervising Occupational Therapists.
