NURSING CARE ASSISTANT/HEALTH UNIT COORDINATOR

Job Description:

  • Perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties under the supervision of RN/LPN.
  • Administer treatment and personal care procedures to patients.
  • Assist with patient care tasks and medical procedures.
  • Record patient data and report any changes in condition.
  • Participate in patient transport and maintain patient records.
  • Exhibit professional communication skills with patients and staff.
  • Utilize technology for various medical tasks.

Requirements:

Education: Completion of a Level I - Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or equivalent. High school diploma required.

Certifications: Listed as a Nursing Assistant (NAI) with the Division of Facility Services. AHA Basic Healthcare provider certification required.
