    • Collaborates with physician (s) in managing medical needs of patients, following established protocol. Develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Documents appropriately according to regulatory guidelines and requirements. Remains compliant with state laws and scope of practice. Must be able to give standard admission orders, copies of which have been approved by the medical staff.
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    • Education and/or experience: Current Tennessee Physician Assistant License. Previous hospital experience preferred. Current certification by a national certification organization required. Current malpractice insurance policy required. CPR certification, ACLS required.

      Knowledge: Must be knowledgeable regarding patient care plans.

      Skills: Excellent communication skills. Must be organized, responsible, motivated and self-directed.

      Abilities: Must be able to multitask and deal with difficult situations. Must be able to handle stressful situations. Ability to review laboratory and x-ray reports and report results to physician or have the ability to evaluate the results and take appropriate medical action. Must be able to remain compliant with state laws and scope of practice.
