Job Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the assisted and independent living facility at Meadowviews of Clive.

This role ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for tenants, staff, and visitors by following established cleaning protocols and procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities:

General Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize tenants rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal.

Laundry:
Manage and process laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and tenants personal clothing.

Restocking:
Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stocked and maintained.
Report supply needs to the Housekeeping Manager.

Special Cleaning Tasks:
Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled, including carpet cleaning, window washing, and furniture polishing.
Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests and spills.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
Follow infection control procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Resident Interaction:
Interact with tenants in a friendly and courteous manner.
Respect tenants privacy and personal space while performing cleaning duties.

Maintenance Reporting:
Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Manager.

Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and facility team members.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in an assisted living, healthcare, or hospitality setting.

Skills:
Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Good manual dexterity and stamina.
