Job Description

We are currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our team.

Pay Range: $ $31.00 / hour based on experience

Shift Differential: 6% - 8% shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule: 10:00 am - 8:30 pm, swing shift, 10 hour shifts, must be able to work night shift and shifts based on the business needs

Day 1 Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision and accrual starts being earned for time off

Skills Required:

• Troubleshoot basic water processing functionality: pumps, valves, piping, etc.

• Water process: reverse osmosis systems and carbon systems

• Troubleshoot water sanitation equipment: CIP system, etc.

• Support water bottling and packaging processes, primarily QA and food safety testing.

• Ensure all lines and all processes are validated according to compliance standards.

• Complete basic laboratory testing: pH, turbidity, conductivity, etc.

• Adhering to micro sampling plan and micro testing procedures

• Create spiked samples to test proficiency

• Daily review of quality data from operators

• Manage water sensory (taste and odor) evaluations.

• Adhere to site safety and quality KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

• Support site and corporate quality initiatives.

• Communicate results, deviations, and improvement plans to co-workers and other team members

• Provide QA training support for QA operators

• Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, word PowerPoint, SAP a plus.

Qualifications

Key qualifications include:

• BA/BS in sciences preferred, relevant experience will be considered

• Prior experience performing basic laboratory procedures

• Exposure to Quality Assurance or Production in a food or beverage processing facility is preferred but not required

• Ability to work self-directed and with a team

• Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team based environment

• Experience with sanitation and microbiological control systems preferred

• Familiarity with food safety and food defense requirements, audit and regulatory environments, microbiological testing, and other manufacturing control systems.

• Ability to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work

• Exposure to Fluid processing and the principles of sanitation science

• Understanding of good manufacturing practices and HACCP principles

• Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency

• Ability to troubleshoot and make independent decisions related to quality and operation excellence.

• Ability to move/lift 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
